The cards on this list are cards that would help in that type of deck. So for instance, this post is about Top 5 Destiny Heroes that would be useful in a Destiny Hero deck. I never quite understood why Disk Commander was so special, but Malicious, I knew it's destructive capabilities and combos. However neither are that helpful in a Destiny Hero; Malicious, you could make a case for it. Sorry that I didn't elaborate on the title!

I love that you're writing a casual blog and not so concerned with the tournament and competitive play, but I'm just wondering about leaving off Malicious and Disk Commander. I understand Disk Commander is now banned, but shouldn't that be reason enough to mention it? The card is THAT broken.

I didn't understand how great Malicious was at first. But what makes it great is its versitility. It does SOOO much. First of all it is Destiny Draw fuel. It makes one of the best draw cards in the game great because you WANT to discard it. Once in the graveyard you can remove it to special summon another. Then you have a number of options. Tribute it for a bigger monster. Set off Crush Card Virus (now banned in part due to the ease of getting this and Disk Commander on the field). Block an attack. In addition it's dark so you can use Allure with it. It's a Warrior so you can search it with Reinforcement and retuirn it to your hand with Warrior Returning Alive (to Destiny Draw or Allure with it). It fuels Dark Armed Dragon, and removes itself from the grave to better support the need for 3 Darks.

The flat out usefulness of this card deserves it a place on this list. I don't know that a Destiny Hero besides Disk Commander has impacted the games as much as Malicious.

being dark is great but it can be horrible for one card. consecrated light. It basically prevents you and your opponent from summoning DARK monsters. Not only that but when consecrated light ison the field dark monsters cant attack. (sorry DAD and FHD and yubel.)

True, but it's the combos it can make with those other cards that makes the Diamon Dude deck powerful. By itself, Diamond Dude is pretty weak.
