Yugioh Synchro Monster Contest

Everyone loves to be creative, youths especially. One of my favorite creative aspects of Yugioh is the whole of idea of a synchro monster. You tune monsters together and sometimes that synchro ends up being a more powerful version of the tuner itself (for example Junk Synchron and Junk Warrior). So I decided that I would again test the creativity of my readers, and use the whole idea of specific synchro summoning and turn into a contest.

Contest goals:

Using real Yugioh cards, create a specific synchro scenario. A level four or lower monster will be you tuner. One or two monsters will be your tuning support, and a seven star or higher monster will be your final synchro. Again, you are creating a synchro scenario out or REAL Yugioh monsters. Plus, your tuner doesn’t actually have to be a tuner, to elaborate, you could have a Red Eyes B. Chick be a tuner; it doesn’t have to be a real tuner such as Junk Synchron. At the same time, your synchro monster doesn’t have to actuallybe a synchro monster. The most creative, impressive, and sensible/resembling tuner-synchro combination will win.

Remember-The levels of your tuner and your monster(s) must be equivalent to the level of your synchro, just like in a duel.

So to break it down for you:

  1. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of Yugioh monsters released, choose any four-star or lower monster. That monster will be your tuner for the contest.
  2. Choose a level seven or higher monster. That will be your synchro monster.
  3. Choose one or two monster that would be sensible to tune with your tuner in order to resemble your synchro. To elaborate, if your tuner is Red Eyes B. Chick, and you want your synchro monster to be Red Eyes ZombieDragon, it wouldn’t be sensible to have a Beaver and a Celtic Guardian as your tuning monsters. That combination would NOT resemble Red Darkness Dragon. What could be a nice combination is having a Curse of Dragon and a Skull Servant to go along with Red Eyes B. Chick

I hope you all understand the goal and rules of this contest. I can’t wait to see the final products! The deadline for applicants will be April 5th. Go!

  1. Here’s mine PS its fake cards so im not going to win (well maybe if yugiohblogger loves it). I’m sorry i don’t have any pictures so im just going to type it in, well here it is:
    Desselia Princess: Level 4 Light, Dragon ATK 1900 DEF 1700. When this card is summoned your opponent cannot select this card as an attack target. When this card has successfully destroyed a monster by battle inflict 1000 in battle damage to your opponent. Now heres the synchro monster:
    Desselia Queen of Shining Nightmares: Level 12 Light, Dragon ATK 5000 DEF 5000. Desselia Princess + 2 non tuner monsters. This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by the effects of other monsters, spells and trap cards. When this card is summoned destroy all of the opponents cards and inflict 1000 in battle damage to your opponent for each card destroyed. This card gains gains 2000 ATK and DEF for every Light Monster on the field.

  2. Tuner:
    Proto-Cyber Dragon *** LIGHT 1100/600
    {This card’s name is treated as “Cyber Dragon” while it is face-up on the field.}

    Non-Tuners:
    Gear Golem the Moving Fortress **** EARTH 800/2200
    {Once per turn, during your Main Phase 1, by paying 800 Life Points, this card can attack your opponent directly this turn.}

    Sinister Serpent * WATER 300/250
    {During your Standby Phase, if a “Sinister Serpent” exists in your Graveyard, you can return the “Sinister Serpent” to your hand.}

    Synchro Monster:
    Gatling Dragon ******** DARK 2600/1200
    {Once per turn, you can toss a coin 3 times. Destroy a number of monsters on the field equal to the number of Heads.}

    Summary:
    You didn’t say it had to be logical, so some of my entry is. The fact the Tuner and one non-Tuner are Machines makes the Synchro monster a Machine as well, Sinister Serpent is in the mix because Dragons are in essence a form of reptile, so the final result will be a bit more Dragon like in nature. As for the Attribute, I have no explanation for that, but like I figured, you didn’t state it had to be complete logical in nature.

  3. Well, I did say it had to be sensible, but this is great! I can see why your Synchro is Gatling Dragon. Proto Cyber Dragon and Gear Golem adds the mechanical as well as dragonic (it is a word) touch while Sinister adds a dragonic as well as a reptilian touch that all dragons have. Nice!

  4. I defnitely like the names, but you also have to have 1 or 2 monsters to tune. Plus, if you can’t add the pics, since they’re not real cards, I can’t really see if it’s a sensible sycnhro. I know for sure that this is really creative! So, add in 1 or 2 more tuning monsters, that would be sensible to tune with Desselia Princess, then if you want to go with this combo, add pics so I can see where you got your idea. By the way, pics are not required if your cards are real. Since these are fake, I need to see pictures. But your on a good trail nader!

  5. Tuner:
    Red-Eyes B. Chick * DARK 800/500
    {Send this face-up card on the field to the graveyard, to special Summon Red-Eyes B. Dragon from your hand.}

    Non-Tuners:
    Dweller in the Depths *** EARTH 1500/700
    {This card gains 300 ATK for every Continuous Spell Card you control.}

    Divine Dragon Ragnarok **** LIGHT 1500/1000
    {“A legendary dragon sent by the gods as their instrument. Legends say that if provoked , the whole world will sink beneath the sea.”}

    Synchro Monster:
    Light and Darkness Dragon ******** LIGHT 2800/2400
    {This card cannot be Special Summoned. While this card is face-up on the field, its Attribute is also treated as DARK. When a Spell or Trap Card is activated, or the effect of an Effect Monster is activated, that activation is negated and this card loses 500 ATK and DEF. When this card is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, select 1 monster in your Graveyard. Then destroy all cards you control, and Special Summon that monster.}

    Summary:
    I couldn’t pass up the chance to post this set up, it even fits with the Attribute. First there are Light and Dark Synchro Material monsters, the Earth Attribute makes the Synchro Monster both Light and Dark because the Earth is the only place where both can co-exist, balancing them out. My choice of Dragon Type EARTH monster was because it was the first level 3 Dragon I found.

    I’d like to use this entry instead, consider my first as just a non-entry concept for the sake of imagination.

  6. here are my non tuning monsters:
    Illeana Princess of Hate and Aggresion: Level 1 Light, ATK 0 and DEF 0: This card cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn this card cannot be destroyed by battle. You take no battle damage from battles involving this card. When this card is summoned destroy all face up attack position monsters your opponent controls and inflict 1500 in battle damage to your opponents life points for each monster destroyed.
    Quintara Deity of Dreadful Tragedies: Level 7 Dark, ATK 3000 DEF 3000: This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by the effects of other monsters speels and trap cards. This card cannot be selected as an attack target. When this card is summoned destroy all defense position monsters your opponent controls and inflict 2000 in battle damage to your opponents life points for each monster destroyed. This card gains 1000 ATK and DEF for each of your opponents monsters that were destroyed.

  7. I wanna make a change to the synchro monster. Desselia Queen of Shining Nightmares: Level 12 Light, Dragon ATK 5000 DEF 5000. Desselia Princess + Illeana Princess of Hate and Aggression + Quintara Deity of Dreadful Tragedies. This card cannot be targeted and is unaffected by the effects of other monsters, spells and trap cards. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. This card cannot be attacked. When this card is summoned destroy all of the opponents cards and inflict 2000 in battle damage to your opponent for each card destroyed. This card gains gains 5000 ATK and DEF for every Light or Dark Monster on the field.

  8. I knew I should have waited till the 4th to enter. The victory would have been a little less empty. But I like your idea nader, even if they are fan-made. =^)
