Yugioh Monster Types Part 1

Though I have written about Yugioh monster types in the past, I wanted to write a post about the strongest from each of the monster types. I think that though we all talk about the strongest monsters in Yugioh, overall, I thought  writing about the strongest monster per type is important because it can be a pathway for people to build their decks out of. I want to thank nader for giving me the idea. (Note: The decisions were made based on stats, effect, and how much it would help in its type deck). Let me know if you agree or disagree with my decisions.

Aqua - Tribe Infecting Virus

Beast - Mosaic Manticore

Beast-Warrior - Gladiator Beast Heraklinos

Dinosaur - Sauropod Brachion

Dragon - Stardust Dragon Assault Mode

Fairy - Neo Parshath, the Sky Paladin

Fiend - Yubels

Fish - Superancient Deepsea King Coelcanth

Insect - Brain Crusher

Machine - Chimeratech Overdragon

is the part 2 going to include sea serpents, reptiles, pyros, zombies, spellcasters, pshychics etc..? I think i know what the sea serpent and reptile is gonna be.

by the way nice picks. I disagree though with the dinosaur monster. I think Jurrac Meteor is better for the nuking ability.
And i strongly have to disagree with the insect. Earthbound Immortal Uru anyone?

  2. Yep, part two will have those monster types. Jurrac Meteor is really powerful but it isn’t a TCG card. Plus, Brachion can deal so much damage, just by bring in defense mode! Plus it’s easy to summon and its other effect gives you one turn to destroy your opponents ace monster, because all monsters are flipped face down when Sauropod is flipped face up. Uru has a good effect, but it is useless if you don’t have a field spell. Pus, you can easily destroy Uru by destroying the field spell.

  3. nader says:

that’s what they all say about those immortals lol.

  4. nader says:

for the fairy type archlord kristya and consecrated light are so much better. archlord kristya for obvious reasons. and consecrated light for those anti dark whores (excuse my language).

  5. Consecrated Light is only good against dark monsters, that doesn’t mean it is good overall. Sky Paladin has a much versatile effect than Kristya!

  6. nader says:

yea but archlord kristya still neither player special summoning monsters is cruel though and it returns to the top of the deck if it dies and it can be summoned from the hand by having 4 fairies in the grave. Sky paladin is good for the burn effect and the gaining ATK. But I like Kristya better for its recycling abiliy.

The thing about Consecrated Light is true but you have to admit that DARK attributed decks are perhaps the most common decks EVER out there right now.

    Nevertheless its your decision.

  7. Sunshadow says:

I think Water Dragon is a good Sea Serpent, but I haven’t got to see all the Sea Serpents yet.

  8. nader says:

brionac is the best sea serpent by far. I think it should be banned.

  9. nader says:

you spelled Coelacanth wrong. Anyways Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth is a great fish but many people debate if that card or Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua is better. Both are great but I can’t decide which one is better.

  10. Definitely the King. His presence strongly benefits any fish monster on the field. However, because many people don’t use a fish deck, your fish will be the ones getting helped by the King. Chacu is good, but the King is just as strong and his effect is definitely better in terms of helping fish monsters.

  11. Plus the King has a HUGE swarming ability. It would go well with Panther Warrior.

  12. nader says:

Don’t you guys agree that Stardust Dragon Assault Mode and Vennominaga should not be unlimited? Their effects are broken as a mess.

  13. nader says:

you know what? you should also do a post on the most powerful monsters for each attribute. that would be cool.

  14. Well, both are pretty difficult to summon. That’s why any monster who is difficult to summon (but is very broken) is only either limited or unlimited. Yubel, Dreadroot, ect… I’m certain Malefic Truth Dragon will be unlimited because no matter how messed up (in a good way) it is, it is not easy to summon.

  15. nader says:

uh actually yugiohblogger malefic truth dragon isn’t hard to summon. you basically just summon it by hand or graveyard when a melafic monster is destroyed. seeming how the melafic monsters are easy peasy to summon.
