I thought that Dark Creator would win since it appeared to be the more popular card however it placed last among the three. The Card of the Month: August is Mist Wurm! I’m pretty surprised it won, because it has a fairly simple effect. Well, this marks the last Card of the ___ Post and starting in a few days will be the even more fun Yugioh Monster Comparisons!

Card of the Month
Tuesday, August 3rd, 2010Card of the Week
Sunday, June 27th, 2010Card of the week 6/27/10: Gagagigo
Gagagigo may be an old and forgotten monster, but it was the basis of one of my most popular contests in my blog. Though it doesn’t have an effect, Gagagigo still has 1850 attack so it’s pretty useful in some decks, especially reptilian decks. Gagagigo’s younger self, Gigobyte is one of the best cards to have in a Gravity deck. Because it’s a level one monster, it can be affected by Triangle Power thus making it a powerhouse in a Gravity deck. Gagagigo also has older forms known as Giga Gagagigo and Gogiga Gagagigo. Though it might not have a high efficiency rate, it has a lot of history and is a very significant Yugioh monster.
The three card of the weeks have been selected! Gagagigo, Non Aggression Area, and Cosmic Fortress Gol’gar. Out of these three cards, vote for which one you think deserves to be the card of the month!

The Winners of the Monster Card Competition
Sunday, November 29th, 2009Ai, ai, ai, ai! Choosing the two winners for this competition was extremely difficult! There were a couple of people who entered, but I narrowed the finalists to three. Out of those three finalists, (Yugioh fan, morfowt, and Frank MTF) I looked every aspect of their creations and made my final decision.
First place of this monster card competition goes to… Frank! The runner-up… morfowt! Congratulations to you guys! I am sorry Yugioh fan, your grammar wasn’t very good and your images were the same for each card. However, I still congratulate you for being one of the three finalists. Frank’s monsters stuck out to me a lot and I really liked his images as well his effects. Morfowt, your cards were just as impressive for you and Frank were tied in almost all of the aspects of judging except, the imagery. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked your images, but Frank’s images were a bit cooler.
Frank wins the Blue Eyes W. Dragon, the Blue Eyes S. Dragon, and the secret rare, limited edition, Green Baboon Defender of the Forest. Morfowt, you still get a secret rare E-Hero Thunder Giant! Frank and morfowt, please send me your adresses to yugiohblogger@gmail.com so I can mail you your cards. Once again congratulations, and I wish to see you both contend in the next Yugioh Cards Blog contest!
Yugioh Monster Card Competition
Saturday, October 24th, 2009Recently, I talked about Yugioh Card Maker, a website that allows one to create their own Yugioh card. Since I have been getting a lot of requests to start another contest, I decided that I would start one, however add Card Maker as the goal. What you need to do for this competition is go to Card Maker and create your own monster card. Be creative! Make a Sonic the Hedgehog card or a Barney monster card! Then, save the picture on to your hard drive and email to www.yugiohblogger@gmail.com.
The winner will be judged on three things:
- Creativity
- Grammar
- Realism
I don’t want monsters who have 10000 attack points or who wins the duel when played. It should be life-like stats, maybe something that matches the character and the effect should be real. Also, if you send another card (has to be related to your monster), that will help your scores. For instance, if you send Naruto as your monster, you could also send me a spell or trap card called Rasengan or something. Because of the close victory by Cbas against Riley during the last competition I will allow two winners. Grand prize is 1 Blue Eyes White Dragon(Ultra rare), 1 Blue Eyes Shining Dragon(super rare), and a Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest. The second place prize is a secret rare Elemental Hero Thunder Giant.
Good luck everyone! I expect to see a lot of great cards and I am enthusiastic that this will one of the greatest contests yet! If you have any questions leave them as comments or email me at www.yugiohblog.com
Yugioh Rare Monster Card Competition
Monday, October 5th, 2009Through some comments I got about comparing of the strengths of different monsters, I got this really good idea! I will put down a list of ten popular and powerful monsters, and you guys can write in your comments which one monster you guys like the most and why. This will give you guys to debate with others through Yugiohblog and get an idea of people’s opinions of different cards. By next week, I will write about the monster with the most fans and five comments sent by fans. Here are the monsters:
- Five Headed God Dragon
- Yubel Ultimate Nightmare
- Raviel Lord of Phantasms
- Wicked Avatar
- Savior Star Dragon
- Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
- Rainbow Neos
I will note that this is not a competition where someone wins prizes. This is more of a debate competition to favor a monster card. Here is my favorite out of them simply because his effect and stats are simply amazing:

The Winner Of The Second Yu-Gi-Oh Contest
Saturday, September 12th, 2009Hi guys, after two weeks of waiting, contest entrants sent me seven combos, and most were very strong. It was extremely difficult for me to decide which was the strongest combo, but I had to make a decision sooner or later. Now I have my winner. Once I present the top two combos sent, I will announce the victor.
Combo #1 - CBas:
You need: X1 Scapegoat, X1 Cannon Soldier, X1 Jam Breeding Machine, X1 Gravity Bind, and X1 Lava Golem.
First, you would have to set down Gravity Bind and activate it during your opponents turn along with Scapegoat. When it’s your turn, you will need to summon Cannon Soldier then tribute Scapegoat for a fast 2000 direct damage. Next, play Lava Golem. Lava Golem goes to your foe’s side of the field and deals them 1000 points of direct damage. Lava Golem would not be able to attack due to Gravity Bind. To end this turn play Jam Breeding Machine. Though you cannot normal, flip, or special summon a monster while this card is active, Jam Breeding Machine produces a Slime Token every turn. Due to Cannon Soldier, you can tribute the Slime Token for 500 direct damage. With Lava Golem and the Slime Token, your foe loses 1500 life points every turn!
Combo #2 - Riley:
You need: X1 Batteryman Charger, X2 Batteryman AA (change to Riley’s combo), X1 Short Circuit, X1 Batteryman Micro Cell, Battery Charger, and X1 Double Summon
First, you summon Batteryman Micro Cell in face down defense position then on your next turn, flip summon Micro Cell to summon Batteryman AA. Then activate Double Summon in order to summon Batteryman Charger. Next, play Battery Charger and play another Batteryman AA. Both Batteryman AA’s will have 2000 attack points and Batteryman Charger will have 2400 attack, possibly 2700 if Batteryman Micro Cell is still on the field. Next, activate Short Circuit. This destroys all of your foe’s cards due to the fact your controlling three Batteryman cards. Lastly, attack with all three Batterymen to deal over 6000 damage to your foe!
It was very tough to determine the winner, but I chose CBas’ combo as the winner! Congratulations CBas, and kudos to you as well Riley for your combo was just as good. Though your combo does do 6000 damage Riley, CBas’ would keep on dealing 1500 damage every turn, and that damage would be difficult to stop. Riley your monsters could be easily destroyed if your foe plays Raigeki, same to CBas as well. However, CBas still has Lava Golem on his foe’s side of the field, dealing 1000 direct damage every turn. Still, great job to both of you, you both have very impressive combos. CBas, on this post, tell me if you want a Dragon Master Knight, or an Enishi, Shien’s Chancellor monster card.
Well thank you contestants, for making this contest so exciting! I hope you all will enter the next contest which will be coming soon. Once again, congratulations!
Yugioh Card Combo Contest
Sunday, September 6th, 2009Hey guys! One more week until the winner is announced for my second Yugioh contest. You all still have a chance to list a combo so hurry while you can! Good luck! By the way someone recently sent me a combo and it is by far, the best I have gotten yet. However, I still cannot call it a “great combo.” What do you guys think about this combo?
This combo uses: X1 Rescue Cat, X3 Milus Radiant, X1 Monster Reborn, and X1 Des Koala. First you summon Rescue Cat and remove him from the field. Due to this ability, you can special two beast monsters from your deck. Special summon two Milus Radiants. As long as Milus Radiant is on the field, Earth monsters gain 500 attack points. Next, activate Monster Reborn, and special summon Rescue Cat. Then somehow again remove it from the field. This time, special summon another Milus Radiant and Des Koala. Due to the three Milus Radiants’, they each have 1800 atk and Des Koala also gains 1500 leaving him with 2600 attack points.
This is a mediocre combo because the Milus Radiants do have a total of 5400 attack points but its not like they can attack all three at once. The only good that comes out of this combo is Des Koala having 2600 attack points. If I had more combos listed, this combo wouldn’t even be considered for victory, however, I have only been sent three combos and right, this one is the best. What do you guys think? Is this a combo worthy of winning the contest? Or do you have a combo worth showing off?
Win A Free Rare Yu-Gi-Oh Card
Monday, August 24th, 2009Yup, you guessed it, this the second Yu-Gi-Oh Blog contest, with your chance to win your choice of an Ultra rare Dragon Master Knight or an Ultra Rare Enishi, Shien’s Chancellor. Both are very strong cards, Enishi if you have Sixth Samurai monsters and Dragon Master Knight if you like playing Seto Kaiba style. Here is your contest criteria: You must write me a one paragraph (3-5 sentences) of a card combo that you made up or found in the internet. The best card combo will win first place as well as one of those two monster cards. If your combo does not take up 3-5 sentences you can also add on to your paragraph if you think the combo is strong or weak and/or why.
