Beating an Exodia Deck

Ever since I first heard about the online dueling site, I have been a frequent duelist on Yugioh Network. I have dueled with my powerful Infernity-World deck, experimented with an Alien deck, and am currently experimenting with a Spell Counter deck. Though all of these decks have been very successful, with the Spell Counter surprisingly doing the best, there is still one, classic deck that I have still not been able to overcome: an Exodia deck.

I know it’s not abstruse as to why I am constantly losing against an Exodia deck as Alien and Spell Counter decks are slow, while a solid Exodia deck can be very fast. Even my fast Infernity-World deck was unexpectedly taken down in five turns by my friend’s Exodia deck, after some lucky plays. You might think, “Dude, just mill his deck!” That’s easier said than done since good Exodia decks usually carry an Exodia Necross, or even worse, an Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord. Exodia Necross is very hard to destroy while Exodius (with good protection) can be lethal!

Every deck, no matter how strong it is, has a weakness. It is a lesson all duelists learn the hard way. Just because I haven’t been able to beat a good Exodia deck doesn’t other people haven’t either. Thus, I ask you my readers, show me your accumen: what type of deck do I need to create to defeat a solid Exodia deck?

The Mystery of Cosmic Blazar Dragon

In a couple of episodes, in the final episode of Yugioh 5Ds, a monster called Cosmic Blazer Dragon will be debuted. There is a rumor that this will be the strongest monster in the Yugioh 5Ds series, similar to Elemental Hero Divine from the Yugioh GX series. Now I do have some guesses as to what type of monster Cosmic Blazer Dragon will be, for example it will probably be a fire attribute, level twelve, dragon type monsters. Here is my guess for its effect:

Attack 4000/ Defense 3000

One Tuner Synchro Monster + One Non-Tuner Fire Attribute Synchro Monster + One Non Tuner Dragon Synchro Monster

This card cannot be special summoned except by synchro summoning. When this card is summoned, return all non dragon monsters back to the owner’s hand. Once per turn, you can destroy all monsters on the field to inflict life point damage to your opponent equal to the number of monsters destroyed x 200. If this monster is destroyed this way, you can do one of the following:

Special summon the synchro monsters used to play this card.
Special summon any dragon synchro monster from your extra deck/ graveyard (disregard summoning conditions).
As long as this card is in the graveyard, once per turn, you can put one dragon monster or fire attribute monster from your deck or graveyard to your hand.

How powerful do you guys think Cosmic Blazer Dragon will be? Do you think it will be Yusei’s strongest monster or will that title remain with Shooting Quasar Dragon? Finally, what type of statistics and effects do you think Cosmic Blazer Dragon will have?
