Delta Accel Synchro Summon

When Starstrike Blast came out, I had this fascination with Red Nova Dragon and its effect. Yesterday, for my cousin’s birthday, I bought him a Red Nova Dragon tin and together we built a deck out of the cards. He’s a pretty old school duelist so he wanted me to duel with his deck (and him with mine) just so he could learn some techniques and strategies. I was really giddy about dueling him with that deck because of the fact that Red Nova Dragon in it. Three turns passed, seven turns, then thirteen and he hit with the finishing blow. During the whole duel, I was not once able to bring out Red Nova Dragon because of its difficult summoning conditions. So I wandered, if accel synchro summoning is this difficult, how is delta accel synchro summoning even possible?

Delta accel sycnrho summoning is an even advanced form of synchro pioneered by Vizor/Antinomy (again). When one delta accel synchro summons they have to tune a tuner synchro monster with two or more non-tuner monsters. Wouldn’t that be almost impossible? Tech Genus monsters have the ability to swarm others into their hands, so people will probably utilize this archetype in the real world in order to rapidly play synchro monsters on the field in order to accel and delta accel synchro summon even stronger monsters. If that is the case, the Tech Genus archetype will be a very hard archetype to beat!

I do not see the point of introducing Delta Accel Synchro summoning. Sure it might benefit the Tech Genus archetype and make them strong but it is so hard to pull that those cards just seem like a waste! Plus, who likes saying,”I delta accel synchro summon Tech Genus Halberd Cannon!” What do you guys think, do you like Delta Accel Synchro summoning or do you think its bogus?

The Duelist Genesis

This post talks about the negatives and the positives of the new yugioh 5Ds booster pack.

My first post will talk about a new, but popular Yugioh booster pack. It is the Duelist Genesis, the debut booster pack for Yugioh 5Ds. 5Ds cards do not require polymerization for fusion. Instead, 1 tuner monster and 1 non-tuner monster must be removed from play. This fusion sequence reminds of contact fusion, the special ability of the Elemental Hero Neos Cards.

A great card that can be obtained through the Duelist Genesis is Krebons. Krebons’ sweet effect allows him to negate any attack directed at him, but for 800 life points. You can escape this catch by activating Solemn Wishes. You can gain 500 life points for each card you draw. Then in your next turn, by playing a non-tuner monster, you can remove Krebons and the non-tuner to play a mighty synchro monster to finish off your opponent. This a strong combo.

You might think that the 5Ds cards are too simple. Many of their effects are not original at all but that is what makes the 5Ds cards good. Each card has an effect that creates a little combo with other 5Ds cards. Some more devastating than others. That is why I would recommend duelists to buy the Duelist Genesis and use its card combos to your advantage.

Positive: Good card combos, simple fusion sequence.

Negative: Easy to counter effects, many catches.

Pack Rating: 8.5/10
