Top 5 Destiny Heroes in Yugioh Part 2

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

I hope you guys liked my choices for the #5 and #4 Destiny Heroes. Before I list my #3 and #2 top Destiny Heroes, I would just like to say Diamond Dude will not be there. Destiny Hero Diamond Dude has a mediocre effect, which heavily relies on luck. You can check the top card of your deck, and if that card is a normal spell card, you can activate it during your next turn. First of all, there is a low percent chance you’ll draw a spell, and an even lower chance you’ll draw a non-normal spell card. So no way will  Diamond Dude be on this list.

Destiny Hero Double Dude is a very basic Yugioh card, however, both its effects can be helpful in several ways. Though it only has 1000 attack points, Double Dude can attack twice, so in a direct attack opportunity, it’s like having a monster with 2000 attack points on the field. You can use this ability to your advantage. You can equip an Axe of Despair or a Megamorph to double his attack points. Now, he has 2000 attack points. Not only can he attack twice, he has a big amount of attack points and if he attacks your foe directly, they can lose 4000 worth of life points. Also, of Destiny Hero Double Dude leaves two tokens behind when he gets destroyed. Though they each have 1000 attack and defense points, they are easy tributes for monsters like Destiny Hero Dreadmaster, Destiny Hero Plasma, or even Destiny Hero Dogma. Now Destiny Hero Double Dude is a great card and has won me a lot of duels.

2. Destiny Hero Plasma

Not only is he one of the greatest Destiny Heroes ever, I think Destiny Hero Plasma is one of the greatest monsters to ever be created in Yugioh! Though it may be difficult to summon, Destiny Hero Plasma reeks havoc among your foe(s). It can equip itself with one your foes monsters and gain half of the monster’s attack points! Not only could Destiny Hero Plasma take out one of your foe’s strong monster’s, it can use the monster’s strength to its own advantage! Destiny Hero Plasma can also negate the effects of your foe’s face up monsters. This can come handy when your dealing with cards like Sniper Hunter, Armityle, or even the deadly Reptilian Naga. Destiny Hero Plasma would be tremendously helpful in any deck.

Top 5 Destiny Heroes in Yugioh

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I gave a list of the top 5 Elemental Heroes in Yugioh about a month ago. That topic became pretty popular so I thought I would make a list of the top 5 Destiny Heroes in Yugioh! Hope you like the list!

Okay, it’s pretty weak in terms of stats, but Doom Lord has an effect that can come in pretty handy. Once per turn, for two turns, he can remove one monster from your foe’s side of the field, out of play. Even though the monster comes back in two turns, you still have to form a counterattack against it. What if you were facing a Yubel, or an Armityle? You can’t beat those monsters with battle, but you still can save yourself with Destiny  Hero Doom Lord. His effect is very effective and helpful, especially when your facing a deadly monster!

4. Destiny Hero Defender

Yugioh Destiny Hero - DefenderThis is a monster card that everyone should have in their deck, especially if you have Shield and Sword. First of all, it brings tons of defense to your side of the field. It would be very difficult for your opponent to destroy it by battle, so they can’t hope to launch a direct attack. Second, if you want to go to a more offensive approach, simply play a Shield and Sword spell, and you have a monster with 2700 attack points, just like that! Think of all the damage Destiny Hero Defender do! And, it is even better if used with Canyon, DNA Surgery, and/or Cross Counter. When your opponent attacks Defender (in set position) with, lets say, a monster with 1800 attack points, they won’t be expecting to see a monster with 2700 defense points! 2700-1800 is 900 life points. 900 multiplied by 4 is 3600! You’d be dealing your foe 3600 life points just by that combo! Destiny Hero Defender can be useful in so many ways.

Destiny Hero Plasma

Elemental Heroes are some of the strongest monsters in Yugioh, though their cousins aren’t bad either. Unlike the Elemental Heroes, all of the Destiny Heroes have effects. Contrasting from the E-Heroes, the D-Heroes have effects that make sure their comrades remain on the field. Captain Tenacious brings back any Destiny Hero who was destroyed by battle during the next turn.

Many D-Heroes have balanced stats. Their not very strong but aren’t weak either. Destiny Hero Dogma is a high leveled monster with great stats and killer effects. He has 3400 attack and 2400 defense points. To summon him, you must tribute three monsters including one Destiny Hero. Once summoned, your foe loses half their life points. For this reason Dogma is my favorite D-Hero.

When summoned, D-Hero Dreadmaster brings back two of your D-Hero monsters from the graveyard. During the turn he’s played, no Destiny Hero can be destroyed and they cannot take battle damage. Dreadmaster’s attack equals the total attack of all the D-Heroes on the field.

A good D-Hero combo would be to summon Dreadmaster, then when he brings back two D-Heroes on to the field, sacrifice three monsters to play D-Hero Dogma. Now you have two strong D-Heroes, both with 3400 attack and your opponent has 4000 life points at the most. This is the dread caused by D- Hero Dreadmaster.

The strongest Destiny Hero is D-Hero Plasma. He not only has the best effect but is a clutch card at late duels. You can equip one monster that your opponent controls and Plasma gains attack equal to the equipped monster’s attack. He also negates the effects of the opponent’s monsters. Unlike the E-Heroes, they don’t have easy fusions, very strong monsters, and field spell cards. However D-Heroes have superior effects and are very clutch in late duels.
