Yugioh Synchro Monster Contest

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Everyone loves to be creative, youths especially. One of my favorite creative aspects of Yugioh is the whole of idea of a synchro monster. You tune monsters together and sometimes that synchro ends up being a more powerful version of the tuner itself (for example Junk Synchron and Junk Warrior). So I decided that I would again test the creativity of my readers, and use the whole idea of specific synchro summoning and turn into a contest.

Contest goals:

Using real Yugioh cards, create a specific synchro scenario. A level four or lower monster will be you tuner. One or two monsters will be your tuning support, and a seven star or higher monster will be your final synchro. Again, you are creating a synchro scenario out or REAL Yugioh monsters. Plus, your tuner doesn’t actually have to be a tuner, to elaborate, you could have a Red Eyes B. Chick be a tuner; it doesn’t have to be a real tuner such as Junk Synchron. At the same time, your synchro monster doesn’t have to actuallybe a synchro monster. The most creative, impressive, and sensible/resembling tuner-synchro combination will win.

Remember-The levels of your tuner and your monster(s) must be equivalent to the level of your synchro, just like in a duel.

So to break it down for you:

  1. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of Yugioh monsters released, choose any four-star or lower monster. That monster will be your tuner for the contest.
  2. Choose a level seven or higher monster. That will be your synchro monster.
  3. Choose one or two monster that would be sensible to tune with your tuner in order to resemble your synchro. To elaborate, if your tuner is Red Eyes B. Chick, and you want your synchro monster to be Red Eyes ZombieDragon, it wouldn’t be sensible to have a Beaver and a Celtic Guardian as your tuning monsters. That combination would NOT resemble Red Darkness Dragon. What could be a nice combination is having a Curse of Dragon and a Skull Servant to go along with Red Eyes B. Chick

I hope you all understand the goal and rules of this contest. I can’t wait to see the final products! The deadline for applicants will be April 5th. Go!

Yu-Gi-Oh Cardmaker: Your Own Yu-Gi-Oh Cards!

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Though it has been out for a couple of years, Yu-Gi-Oh! Cardmaker is one of the coolest Yugioh websites on the web. You do exaclty what the card says; create cards. Any card you want! Whether they’re funky giraffes or hobos dressed in a karate suit, any card you want to create you can do it on this website. Plus you can make a fantasy deck as well. Simply save the image on to your “My Pictures” page and give a name for your deck.

Yugioh Cardmaker gives creators a lot of settings to alter. You can write your name on the card rather than having Tazuki Kakahsi’s name marked on it. You can make it a synchro monster or a divine monster and you can put in picture you like as the card’s image! I have a Cardmaker account as well. I will show you a card I made as an example:

The Angel Who Gave, I know, it’s a very cheesy name. It’s a fairy monster with 2000 attack and defense points. My friends said that its effect is tremendous: This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of Path of Light (a different card I made). When this card is Special Summoned successfully destroy all dark monsters, fiends, zombies, and spellcasters on the field. This card gains 800 atk and def for each monster destroyed by this effect. I know it’s a very incredibly strong, unrealistic effect, but I was obsessed in creating strong monsters at the time.

This is such a cool website! You get to create your own card; your own monsters, your spells and traps! You can print your cards and have an “imaginary” duel with your friends! Yugioh Cardmaker is ineed, the best Yugioh website!
